About: Interagency task team with 14 UN agencies participating that is co-led by UNFPA and UNICEF. The overall objective of the United Nations Inter-Agency Technical Task Team on Young People (UNIATTTYP) of the Middle East and North Africa region is to contribute to fulfilling young people’s human rights and enable them to develop their capacities – physical, psychological, spiritual, social, emotional, cognitive and cultural – within a safe and supportive environment, from a regional perspective. It has four strategic areas: employment and entrepreneurship, civic engagement, participation and social inclusion, health and wellbeing, and education. The four areas have two cross cutting priorities, namely: humanitarian and gender.
Life Skills-Related: Among its flagship interventions, the task team aims to enable adolescents and Youth policies standards at regional level with a focus on scaled civic engagement and mechanisms for adolescent and youth engagement at regional level.
